For drug trafficking the penalty is usually based on how many drugs are being transported and the number of offenses on a person. The penalties can range from 5 years to life in prison. Also, with spending time in prison they are also going to be given a large fine to pay off.
There are many places, and government agencies that offer both paid and free rehab. This includes both group counseling and one on ones. In the state of Massachusettts, the main drugs abused are Cocaine and Heroine. However, Oxycontin is becoming more and more popular. Every ay, about 5 people die because of alcohol and 1 because of drugs. That's 1825 a year for alcohol and 365 for drugs. Total that is 2,190 people. However, if we get the word out to those who need it, we can lower, mayb even eliminate those horrible statistics.
